ohn L. Manns, Jr., 75, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, September 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Middletown, OH on October 17, 1947 to parents, John Linville Sr. and Nellie (Barker) Manns.

John was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and worked in Machine Maintenance for Avon. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, guns and a cold beer. John loved bluegrass music, going to the casinos and always enjoyed having family over.

John is survived by his daughter, Denise (Randy Click) Manns; son, John Dwayne (Sharon) Manns; sisters, June Early, Linda Barker and Dorothy Carter; brother, Ron Manns; 5 grandchildren, Joni (Jeff) Dye, Jeremy (Sara) Blaine, Jerred Manns, Jaden Manns and Rylan Click; and 4 great grandchildren, Raelynn, Ruth, Naomi and Nika.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert “Bud” Manns, Sally Smith, Debbie Hines, Delores Martin and Barbara Jean Manns.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Jason Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
